aiwees bday :D

so last tuesday we celebrated aiwees bday. went to the city at abt noon, met up with everyone else as we hunted for cake. we finally choose a choc sponge mousse cake. yummm. as usual it was a surprise party. place :jinli's hse. so we all got there n started planning how we would surprise her. she was gonna come over at 2 to "help monica n jinli to bake cupcakes". she's been wanting to bake for ages so we knew she would say yes in a heartbeat. also, she's not the type to suspect anything, quite gullable n blur, dare i say sham? hahahaha. i still remember sham believed me when i told her we had to wear gloves while bowling. LOL.

finally we thought of the perfect plan! all of us would hide behind the stairway waiting with the presents n card. n mon n jinli will be out there pretending to bake. and we would keep the cake in the oven so as soon as aiwee arrived. monica would greet her with oven gloves on. and the oven timer will go off. and they take out the cake. n we shout surprise! plan all good....except...we cant light the candles in the oven. dillema. so we decided tht we would put all the candles on another 'item' n light it. and we would hold it behind the stairway n bring it out. i'll show u a pic at the end n u can tell me what u think of the 'item'. so we even set up a camera to record the whole thing. again she wouldn notice.

she arrived. and everything went smoothly according to plan. she was very suprised. hahah. we r all out there finish singing happy bday waiting for her to blow the candles and she says "so we're not gonna bake today? u made me carry tht huge mixer here for nothing" its so aiwee. newayz we hung around in the afternoon,eating pics n camwhorin. pics will be up on facebook.

abt 6 we left for camberwell which is a suburb close to my place to go to this nice italian restaurant. mmm...food was yumm. afterwards, at abt 9 ish we started walking to the train station. so everyone but me were heading towards the city. im going in the other direction. and i see their train is arriiving in lik 3 min n mine like 24 min. n its already really dark n quiet. on impulse i jst ask them all to come over to my place. and then later at night take the train back since they were in a group. called my uncle, got the ok frm him. not only tht but he came to pick us up frm camberwell and later sent them to the station at 11.30. he's the best.

at my place we all played sing star. good fun. =) all in all it was a great day, my only outing during the hols. due to studying need

ps: hols almost over =( school starts on monday =( and NOTE TO EVERYONE daylight savings r back on this weekend which means we would be 3 hours ahead of malaysia not 2 anymore =(

so we had our second music concert for the year. it was sooo bloody brilliant. much better than the first. first of all the venue was jst amazing. and the audience are all seated close to the stage, great acoustics and spectacular view as all around is jst glass.

it was such a fun night. i was in the choral group. and we had been practicing like anything past few weeks. all the dance steps and singing. we were gonna do abba songs. hehe.

the dressing rooms at the edge....jst perfect. huge. mirrors all around. lights surroundin the mirror. stalls to change in. so girls had one big room and guys had one big room. then we can meet outside in the general room which had bean bags and everything. hhahaha. and all this was below the stage.

in the afternoon when we were rehearsing,i thought we sounded really bad cause i could only hear myself and the person next to me. but turns out, its jst the way the acoustics were desgined. so my music teacher said we sounded brilliant even though we couldn hear our collective sounds. anywayz, the night came and the place filled up. my aunty, uncle and tash were there. tons of teachers came as well.

our first song is the formal church song. we were dressed in all black for tht. after tht were piano recitals and solo singing performance. lastly was our abba/mamma mia act.

went brilliantly. at first we were all nervous but then we saw everyone was like smling and singing along. so we jst smiled and danced our heart out. we did i have a dream, dancing queen, does ur mother know and mamma mia. we got a standing ovation frm some the crowd at the end of it. and of course we had the best time cam whorin. cause the attire for the mamma mia part was bright beach wear. so everyone was in such bright happy colours. had so much fun under the stage fooling abt.

the next day, random teachers were like coming up to me saying "oh u guyss were so brilliant yesterday. the sound was amazing, and the dancing was great" stuff like tht =)

haha. im finally blogging again. hols jst started yesterday. 2 weeks of hols yay! well actually no, its more like a study break so gonna be pretty yuck.
anywayz, taylors formal was held on the 1st of august. n im blogging abt it now. yes. hehe. the theme was casino royal. brilliant night. dancing n games n card tricks. haha. the last song they played was new york, new york. gila old song but a classic. so like 90% of the ppl had gone home already but our group were still there plus some mufy and all the teachers. so for tht song, the teachers all start linking arms and doing this dance thing so we join in. haha. heaps of fun. then after, went to ben's place to spend the night.
the amount of apples to apples we played (card game). i think we memorised all the cards at the end of it. hehe.
went to sleep at abt...ummm....5? oh i cant remember. :p

ps: went to see WICKED on the 21 august. omg. it was soooo bloody brilliant to the max. awesomeness. and the guy was so hottt. and i was like 10 rows frm the stage. amazing. the cast was superb. the special effects n everything...*thumbs up* :D

melb high social :D (25 july-fri)

awesomeness night =)
well i found out abt this thru cam's friend. she heard tht melb high school were gonna have a social at a night club nearby on friday night. a sorta under 18 thing (yes i know im over 18). but it sounded like fun. see, melb high is a boys school so thts why they were opening invites to outside girls. haha. so at first i thought id jst be going with my couz, cam, n cam's friend(mag). in the end, i managed to get one of my friends (jiun) to come along. n my couz backed out.

after much confussion as to if we were truy allowed to go or not (my aunty said jst get dressed and we will send u there n hope for the best). we manged to get in! haha. we posed as two malaysian french exchange students. :s hahaha. got in. abt 800 ppl tht night, we later found out.
there were 3 rooms. we decided to go upstairs as it was the more hardcore dancing area. cheh. haha. all i have to say, thank god i didn wear higher heels. my heels were only like 1 inch or so. but while dancing on the platform, and the crowd....the DANGER. hahaha.

dancing all night long. lol. quite a few hot guys ^^ this one guy started dancing with me right, so i was like k i dont mind. dancing for a bit then he starts trying to make convo with me n im thinking 'shudup n dance'. i then realise he was getting to attached so i grabbed my friend to go get drinks. unfortunately i left the guy with cam n mag. haha. they told me later they were stuck with him for a while. and then there are the other guys, who THINK they r dancing with u. it was a really nice song, so i wanted to dance with my friend and this guy kept trying to get me to dance with him. he was behind me. so i started inching to the left.he followed. to the left,to the left. i made a whole bloody 360 turn in the end n he was still behind me. hahaha. i was like screw la, forget him. then suddenly one of his friends comes over to him, n asks "so hows the night so far". he answers "good. just doing some dancing *nods towards me*" me n jiun jst burst out laughing.

all in all, it was a fun night. of course there was some drama at the end. i lost one of my earrings. so freakin pissed. it was new. a present frm my friend jst 3 days earlier. n so pretty n i think kinda exp. sigh. and then we went outside (in the freezing cold), waiting for cam to get our jackets n stuff frm the cloak room. she comes back with jst my handbag. the ppl couldn find me n jiun's trenchcoats. so they were still looking for it. n we were freezing outside for 15-20min. finally, i persuaded the bouncers to let me in n i managed to find our stuff =) jst had fallen of the rack. of course they apologised n everything. so all good.

friday:
went n watched mamma mia! omg sooo good. great cast. ive already seen the broadway muscial in singapore so i knew what to expect. and now like everyone has abba songs stuck in their head. singing along EVERYWHERE. lol. its brilliant. in the cinema, u just feel like jumping up n dancing n singing ur heart out. lol. such a feel good movie.
sat:
went to chadstone with camille so we could hunt for tash's present. was fun. we went inside this shop "whats new", omg all the stuff was damn cool. then one whole section there was a sign "restricted to 18 years or older". hey, im 18. i was looking at the stuff n im like damn, these were the kinda stuff tht would have been brilliant to give to all u ppl there when u turn 18. esp shamilallala.
for late night movie, we rented out 'i know what u did last summer', watched it with ro n cam. lights off, sound up. was good :D

back in aussie

last friday:

well happy 18th bday to me. of course, today was the day i was heading back to aussie. first person to spend her 18th on a plane. so my mum n dad r at the airport right. and our plan, was to tell em its my bday and maybe they bump us up to first class or sumthin. anywayz, massive que. by the time we reached the counter, she starts typing my details and my mum WHISPERS oh its my daughter;s bday. well of course she didn hear, and continues typing. well i couldn repeat it. so instead i say, is it possible i get an aisle seat? and she was like, oh im sorry. its really packed today. we got only center available. but i'll give u in front. so i was like, oh yay. infront is good anywhere.

jst at the depature gate, n im saying to my mum n dad, y cant they jst serve me tiramisu on the plane. and dad straight away asks me if i want, cause then they will buy it for me and i can eat on the plane. so i was like, no its fine. i mean prb cant even take wet food on the plane.

at my gate, mum calls.
mum: have u reached the gate yet?
me: yeah all is good.
mum: u didnt take ur card
me: what card?
mum: *laughs* yeah we forgot to give it to u. do u want me to save it for next year or mail to u
me: MAIL IT. lol

on the plane: all the hot guys jst walk past me n my prayers r unanswered. haha. im sitting next to a mum and a dad. *sigh* but all in all flight was good. food came and guess what, the bloody dessert was tiramisu. well something like that. haha. amazing n yummy.

melb airport: i look around for my aunt n her fam. then i spot them. and she's holding a huge bouquet of purple flowers. she hands it to me n wishes me happy bday. and my cousins hands me a card me made himself. and my other cous hands me a poem he composed. the sweetness. since everyone was starving, we ate a mcD. lol. anywayz, we got home n my uncle went to pick tash and cammile (french exchange student) back from a party. they arrive home as im unpacking. when i step out. the house is in darkness. i step into the living room and ro comes out holding a choc pie thing with 18 candles all lighted. so nice. it was a choc caramel pie with apple slices. heaven. and camille came out with a tray of orange choc tarts which were delicious as well. then presents. omg, camille has seen my paintings before and all and she got me this huge sketch book with paintbrushes. then from my aunty n family, they gave me:-
-paint brush set
-water colours set
-arcrylic paint set
-huge box of watercolour colourpencils
-huge box of regular colourpencils
- all wrapped up in a purple shawl
OMG. nearly died. the amazingness. i mean seriously WOW. i knew she might get me sumthin small, but not this. cause tech speaking, she already bought me my bday pressie. WICKED ticket. 21 august. which is like over 100 aussie.
